ROBOTIC BAG PLACER
The Fanuc M6ib is part of Fanuc Robotics' latest generation of small robots. Feature-rich standard capabilities and options provide dexterity, reliability and high speeds to make the M6ib the perfect solution for this bag placing application in tough working environments.
With repeatability tolerance at plus or minus 0.08mm, the M6ib allows precise bag placement with extreme reliability.
The M6ib utilizes the same R-30i Controller as the Fanuc 410ib palletizing robot for common operator usage.
The Pasco Series 2020 Valve Placer Consists of:
Modular Empty Bag Magazine
The empty bag magazine can be located in 6 different locations. There are 3 positions to right and 3 positions to left of the filling machines. The magazine can be refilled without stopping the operation and is easy adjustable for different bag sizes.
Bag separator
The motor driven bag separator provides fast and reliable operation.
Valve opener
The mechanical valve opener pre-opens the valve of the bag.
Robot bag placing arm with mechanical bag gripper
The robot takes the pre-opened valve and places the bag onto the filling spout.
Notes:
- The modular design of the empty bag magazine provides many layout options.
- Vacuum is only used to take the bags out of the magazine.
- The valve opener will force the valve open even if it is partially glued shut.
- The robot's only function is to transfer the pre-opened valve bag from the valve opener to the filling spout.
- The robot uses a mechanical gripper to hold the bag, allowing the use the full speed capabilities of the robot and preventing bags falling onto the take away conveyor.
- If a bag is not placed properly, the robot will take the bag from the filler and drop the bag onto a reject position.
- The robot can place bags onto multiple spouts. These spouts do not need to line up with each other. The filling spouts can be at different heights and at different angles.
- With 2 magazines the robot could places different bags on to different fillers.
- The bag placing rate is up to 20 bags/min, depending on the bag size and the filling spout location.
